NEW FEATURE: THE NEMESIS SYSTEM
The world of Azeroth just became more dangerous. Every monster you encounter now has the potential to become a legendary threat. Will you be the one to end their rampage, or just another notch on their blade?
The Rise of a Nemesis
In this new system, Elite creatures (Rank 2) track their victories. Every time a player falls in battle to an Elite, that creature grows in power and infamy.
-
Evolution of Power: As a creature gains kills, it physically grows in size and its health pool expands.
-
The Mark of Blood: Once a creature reaches 3 kills, it is consumed by bloodlust, gaining a permanent Red Aura to warn all who approach.
-
Global Infamy: When a Nemesis reaches major milestones (5, 10, 20, or 50 kills), a server-wide alert will broadcast its location and kill count. The hunter has become the hunted.
Tracking the Threat
Think you’re strong enough to collect the bounty? Use these tools to find your target:
-
The Bounty Board: Type
.bountiesin-game at any time to see the "Top 5 Most Wanted" creatures currently terrorizing the realm. -
The Nemesis Tracker: Obtain the Nemesis Tracker item to magically scan the horizon. It will whisper the exact location (Map/Zone) of the deadliest Nemesis currently spawned.
Rewards & Spoils
Killing a Nemesis is no easy feat, but the rewards are fit for a hero.
-
Nemesis Spoils: Upon death, every Nemesis will summon a unique loot chest at its feet. This chest contains high-value items, Emblems, and a rare chance for exotic mounts.
-
Gold Bounties: Every kill the Nemesis has secured adds to its gold bounty. When you slay it, you collect the accumulated gold!
-
The "Server First" Jackpot: The first player to slay a Nemesis with 10 or more kills will be awarded a massive 10,000 Gold server-first prize!
System Integrity & Safety
To ensure a fair and fun experience, the Nemesis System includes several "Safe Zone" protections:
-
Guards & Vendors: City guards and essential NPCs cannot become Nemeses.
-
Civilians: Quest-givers and flight masters are exempt from the system to prevent quest-line disruptions.
-
Reset Mechanics: Once a Nemesis is slain, its entry is wiped from the records, and it returns to its normal state upon respawning.
